The Lazy Daze owner's manual notes that the Ford chassis' don't come with a jack for tire changing, and recommends purchasing a hydraulic bottle jack. I'm wondering what the proper size would be for the E450 chassis - the basic jack height, the extended height, weight capacity, and/or any other considerations.

Thanks for any info.

Hello Bob, Lazy Daze has a bottle jack of the recommended size in their store. We bought one when we were there to take delivery in January.

I don't remember the price exactly, except that it seemed reasonable. Believe it was around $20 or so but cannot be sure.

With the new Ford 3 year 36,000 mile warranty, it is most unlikely that we will ever use it. In 37,000 Class C miles, we have had one flat - a slow leak which occurred in storage. Of course, we do have firestone Steeltex tires now.....

Suggest you just rely on Lazy Daze for the Jack specifications and enjoy the road with properly inflated tires.

Bye the bye, what will you be doing to the valve stems? - Leaving them rubber or having metal stems installed as Lazy Daze recommends before installing rear wheel valve stem extenders?
