Newbie lesson learned - hair dryers March 25, 2001, 07:13:40 pm Yahoo Message Number: 2851I'm sure that long time RV owners know this, but when we were supplying the new LD with items to stay on board, we made the mistake of buying a 1875 watt small (in size) hair dryer. The dryer worked fine the first few times out, but the last time it stopped working. After some comical troubleshooting (duh: why does it work in the house and not in the LD, must be some exotic grounding problem,) I figured out that the hair dryer will trip the 15A circuit breaker in the motor home.Any thing less in wattage should work, but we went ahead and picked up a small 800 watt travel hair dryer that should give plenty of margin.Hope this helps preventing someone from making the same mistake.Good RVing all and hope to see some of you on the road.
