FAQ's March 20, 2001, 08:24:00 am Yahoo Message Number: 2747Pat Nowak recently said: "Greg: It would be a lot of work for you or someone, but maybe you could take some of the more useful messages that have questions along with the associated responses, and stick them in a FAQ (frequently asked questions) folder that folks could access, possible through a link or as just another catagory in the "Our Pages" list.I joined before there were a thousand messages and you do see many of the same questions repeated by the newcomers which is what you would expect. I know I asked questions about shocks that had been discussed previously and I might have gone there first if a FAQ folder was available. Just a thought."Good idea, Pat, although I'm not quite sure the best way to accomplish this. Anyone in the group have any ideas? Any volunteers to set it up? Thanks,~Greg
FAQ's Reply #1 – March 20, 2001, 10:28:52 pm Yahoo Message Number: 2759My thinking is that it is too soon for a FAQ. A couple of questions of the same type doesn't constitute a frequently asked question.Don't get me wrong. I am a FAQ junkie and have a lot of respect for the effort that goes in to putting a good FAQ together. It's just that I wouldn't like to see a new club member come along and be intimitated by a response of the type "why don't you read the FAQ."I don't want to jinx this club, but so far, none of the posts have been totally off topic. Someone with a legitimate question should have their question answered politely.

More general motorhoming FAQs are available elsewhere. I think the time is ripe - but I don't know where to put them either.I have seen info posted in the 'news' section in some other clubs, but I don't know how this is done - it is not a provided administrative tool. Perhaps someone else knows the technique?Steve
