I use the LD king size bedding system in my 30'- the bag hangs over the sides of the bed, and allows plenty of room. It was an excellent choice, better than anything else I've seen. I tow a Saturn SW2 using the Blue Ox Aladdin bar and system- couldn't be more pleased with it. Leaving Monday for CA from Seattle and a quick visit to LD.      Bill the dogman in Seattle

Lanny, I've never towed so can't give you any personal experience, but I have heard good things about Blue Ox's product and service. I've compiled some links that may be helpful:

Highly recommended is a supplemental braking system for your toad. Check with your state's transportation department for exact requirements. Also, I believe any state you travel through you must meet that state's requirements for supplemental braking. You can find more info on different state's requirements in the link above.

Good luck,

Bill: I used a rental tow trailer from U-Haul, which placed the front wheels of the Honda up and left just the rear wheels down, during my cross country trip last August..is there any sort of hitch I could use with this Honda Civic instead? It is automatic.
Thank you. Have a nice trip to CA! Mari Susan

MariSusan: Unless you drive a Saturn, or later model Honda, which can be towed with all wheels on the ground as they come from the factory, virtually any vehicle can be towed "flat" with just one modification: Install a drive shaft disconnect. These are simple devices which can be operated from the driver's seat. The brand with the best reputation is Remco. Check them out at www.remcotowing.com As far as hitches for the Honda, Blue Ox and Roadmaster are among the most popular.

Mari Susan, I'm the wrong person to ask about this- my Saturn w/auto tows 4 down quite well and Saturn says it's OK. Have seen many Hondas towed 4 down but don't know whether auto or not. Sorry! I do know that Blue Ox makes base plates for Hondas. Bill & dogs in Seattle

HI Mari: Using a tow trailer is a big hasle.
Most hondas can be tow with all wheeles on the ground.
That way is so much easer. Once youy do it that way you will never want to trailer a car again. Check with you auto dealer for sure about towing on all 4s.
I have a honda I tow on the ground.

Your owners manuel should also give you information about towing your car.

Good Luck, Ralph
