Thank you alex for your posting.  We called the owner, and we are purchasing this LD.  Also thanks to everyone for answering all of my questions for last several months.  I really enjoy this group and the correspondence and support.  Now I am coordinating the trip to CA from MD.

If you are willing to share, why did the owners sell so quickly? Seems unusual for a LD to go on the market so quickly.

I tried calling all day, left messages and couldn't understand why I didn't hear back....now I know.  Congratulations!

I would like to ask, as did another poster, why he was selling so soon after buying it.  Also, would you mind telling those of us still trying to find a pre-owned LD, how much you paid?  I know that's often a personal type of thing to ask, but I need to convince my husband that he needs to pay a substantial amount for a late model pre-owned LD.  He keeps thinking he's going to get a "deal."

Many thanks, Sue, LD Wannabe

Sue, because of how well a LD holds it's value due to quality, and by the extra care most LD owners tend to lavish on their rigs, I doubt there will ever be any "steals" in the market because it doesn't take long for a LD to sell unless the pricing is unreasonable.  The only deals may be in the fact that you find a rig with a lot of the extras that are nice to have, but generally not something most people want to buy new (like levelers).  The really nice thing about buying a "pre-loved" LD is the fact that we don't have to wait 8 months (well, hopefully not :)
I don't know how much Sharon paid for their LD, but we paid $34,000 for our 94 30' IB (island bed for you new folks).  However, our LD did not have solar panels or levelers.  We have seen some later year models with more "toys" sell for a little less, but we are very happy we were able to get ours for what we did.  What a great feeling to know the hunt was finally over!  :)
