Northwest Wiener report

Saturday
Marti, Charlie, Sue, Jim and I met at a local Camping World near Seattle, and after the purchase of a few 'must-haves', we took off for the Washington Coast to escape the dreaded heat. See earlier post about Pacific North westerner's intolerance to temps over 80°.  ~^_^~
We found great camping sites at a State Park (Ft. Canby) but ran into something else that we don't know how to deal with - mosquitoes. There just aren't many flying bugs per 100sq mi in the PNW, so we were faced with another dilemma. Some in the group had bug repellent and saved us for about 24 hours, when we used the same technique to solve this new problem - leave.
So we met up with Linley and Celia from Portland, and off we went up to Long Beach, WA. A delightful public campground, on the beach. Well, not on the beach - about 30 seconds to walk to the beach. Whallah, no bugs.
Temps in the high 60's to mid 70's. Blue skies with some puffy clouds. What a weekend.
Bill and Bess from Portland were going to come over, but when they found out the temp was going to drop 10° and stay in the '70's, they decided they could stay home. Proof of the wiener theory, heh?
Miles and miles of beautiful sandy beach - you feel like you can see clear down to Mexico from here. We saw about 10 other people on the beach - surely not like we're accustomed to in Calif where there are usually 10 people /sq yard.

Happy trails to all, and may your bubble be in the middle.
