2003 26.5 weigh-in
Yahoo Message Number: 23619
On our trip the first week of June I finally had a chance to run the new Lazy Daze through a scale at a Flying J.  I was extremely pleased to see that I still have lots of weight capacity left.  I thought this might be of interest to someone still debating about buying a LD.

Weight Ratings for the Ford E-450 Chassis: Front  -  4,600 Rear   -  9,450 GVWR   - 14,050

Here were our actual weights: Front -  4,120 Rear  -  8,400 Total - 12,520

The actual weights included full gas/propane/fresh water.  Empty grey/black tanks.  My wife, myself, and the "4 legged child" all aboard, and clothes, bedding, supplies, food, etc for a 1 week trip.
Including leveling blocks, tools, etc.   We still have over 1,500 pounds of unused weight capacity and at the moment I can't imagine ever adding more than a couple of hundred pounds even for an extremely long trip!  Amazing, when I keep reading on other forums of folks buying units that exceed the GVWR when driven off the lot.
Thank you Lazy Daze!

ps:  I would like to catch one of the rallies sometime where I can
get it weighed at each tire just to verify the balance from side to
side, but for now I'm very pleased.
