LCD TV November 03, 2006, 04:24:32 pm Yahoo Message Number: 72450After researching the archives and reading the recent posts about replacing the original CRT TV's I called the Mothership to see if they had any words of wisdom. Steve indicated that they are now installing Jensen DC LCD that plug directly into the 12V outlet. No need for an inverter, converter and etc.For those who are interested, the following web site is one of a select few that currently carry it. http://www.audioallies.com/GetItem.asp?Item=JE1510. This particular one is the 15 inch and is touted to be engineered to withstand the rigors of over the road stress including vibration, humidity and temperature. It better be good at a price nearing $600. I've opted for the Sharp 15" with speakers on the bottom and the use of an inverter. Before I begin the installation does anyone have any suggestion as to how to mount the articulating arm inside the TV cabinet of a Midbath? It appears that I will have to install something like a 1x4 brace across the back of the cabinet on which to secure the mount. For those who can wait to replace thier CRT TV, rumor has it that LCD TV prices will decline from 25-30% by next March. Thanks, Malcolm

I Just cut the lead between the power brick and the tv and applyed the 12vdc to the appropiate leads into the TV. I know they do not recommend it but it works for me. Dan Zoll
