Running Laptops (was inverters)
Yahoo Message Number: 1926
That is undoubtly the best and (from an electrical point of view) the most efficient way to do it.
The only problem is that they are usually model specific so that when you upgrade computers, you will almost undoubtedly need a different one for the new computer. And they ain't cheap! We used to do it that way, but got tired of the reoccuring costs. We were originally a little uptight about running the laptops on an inexpensive inverter (because of the output waveform) but we haven't had any trouble, but your mileage may vary, so use caution.
