cheap toad camera March 26, 2003, 02:50:25 pm Yahoo Message Number: 20322Just ran across this camera for $30. Do you think this could be a good camera for monitoring a toad? It looks like it operates on 110v, but a small inverter could take care of that. Opinions..... http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=47546Thanks,-Victor

Should work fine. It has a composite video output, so you could feed that signal to any TV or video monitor with an RCA-jack video input. "It looks like it operates on 110v, but a small inverter could take care of that." No need. It runs on 7.5VDC (with an AC adapter) and draws very little current, so all you need is a 12V to 7.5V DC adapter plug--readily available from Radio Shack and suchlike places for ten or fifteen bucks.Andy Baird :-)
