Anyone want to hike?

Funny that she asked, because it just so happens we are going on an American Volksport Association (AVA) walk in Southern California tomorrow, March 22, 2003.  This hike is at Big Morongo Preserve, maybe about 20 miles from Palm Springs, CA.  Specific information on this hike is available at:

Also, there are websites about this preserve.  The AVA has walks all over the USA. It's parent organization also has walks in Canada and Europe. The AVA general information website is:

 The public is invited to participate in this walk/hike 5 km or 10 km.
You can walk for free or buy a new walker's packet if you want credit.

Lest you think that this is way off topic, we have an LD on order.
Patty's aunt June will be walking with us.
She has an old timey LD, but probably will not bring it to the preserve.  We will introduce ourselves to the occupants of any LDs that are seen in the parking area.

Sarah, where in Orange are you right now?  If you wanted to meet for coffee or take a tour of the area, I would be happy to drive up to Orange, it's not far from me.
