Lets see - I have sporadic email, so this is a slow conversation. !)

We had ciscussed using a small Honda genset - I was at a friend's house yest. and he just bought the honda 5 kw - even that was not huge and he said 2 kw model was quite small.

As far as carrying it up and down, I am assuming you'd leave it up there..run it up there. Hoisting it uptop is a question of ropes. You can stand uptop and get your back into it easily.

I know what you're thinking - its like having a bomb overhead with that gasoline - well, how about a line from the propane tank to the genset's carb?

Just thoughts.

We have the "little" Honda IIe. It works like a champ and it isn't "huge." However, the thought of hoisting it's 50-some pounds (they claim it's only 43# but I don't believe it) overhead with a gallon or so of gasoline in it gives me the heebie-jeebies big time.

We carry ours in the toad, usually sans gasoline. We love it...on the ground.
