TV turns itself on February 17, 2003, 01:23:13 pm Yahoo Message Number: 19064Returning from dinner, we discovered the TV on!! Nobody was in the LD except the dog and she can't reach that high. The remote is in with the towels.I turned the TV off.On the drive to the next destination, I heard static in the back of the LD and the unmistakable glow emanating from that area. The TV was back ON!! I have now unplugged the TV from the juice. It cannot turn itself on.Any ideas?Bob, 2000 LD 26.5' MB

If the TV normally turns itsef on automatically whenever you connect up the power cord, then I would look for intermittent cnnection problems. Else, I would contact a factory service center for that brand and see if there is a service bulletin on the issue.Steve

Fortunately I was awaken by the microwave's attempt to turn on and was able to turn it off and kill the power at the circuit panel but not before the front touch control of the microwave became hot and a burning electrical smell emanated. Steve at LD had never heard of the problem. Dometic promptly replaced the unit but offered no explanation for the cause.Malcolm 2002 MB
