Hi
The mid-bath has two great couches in the rear area (which we call the "living room"), either of whch pulls out to make a twin bed, or by putting the back cushion down a twin bed, or both sides pull together to make a super king sized bed.  The cushions are very thick and comfortable, and are designed such that if you want something more firm, they are multi-foam so you can flip them and get a fairly hard bed.
But before your couple gives up, have them actually try the cabover.
We stilll use it at ages 69 and 66, despite my severely arthritic knees.  There is nothing like a window just inches from your face on a hot summer evening.  Once, when we were parked in a friend's driveway in New Smyrna Beach in August and could not use the generator, and the temperature was still above 90 degrees at night, we opened the windows and large vent and ran the fantastic fan at high so it drew a breeze across us.  Lazy Daze put a handle right above the ladder so we can get down frontways, which is great, even for my knees.  Years ago, when our bladders would no longer hold through the night, we found that we just slept split, so that each had our own window and we never are bothered by the other getting up.  One of the reasons we bought the mid bath was for the day when we could no longer make the cabover, but by now I doubt we'll ever reach that day.

Good luck

Gus Weber
