Although we had our M22 multiplan for 14 years and visited the factory several times, we have been agonizing over her replacement.

We have found that the modern Class A's with their big slide-outs are wonderful places to visit, but won't take us out beyond the paved campgrounds to where we like to go.

So, we're back to smaller rigs.

Even though we had NO problems (above the C30 Chevy chassis) with our "Bungalow Truck," we felt it necessary to shop the competition.

At the last Novi, MI RV show, I finally got to visit an Isata. This brand is supposedly of Born Free and Lazy Daze quality and priced well above "equivalent" LDs.

The Isata was instantly inferior in lay-out and "feel" to the LD. You know, that just something don't feel good feeling. The compartments were too small, the cabinetry was nice, paint-grade wood; but all of the little Lazy Daze nuances were missing. All of those little storage spaces and clever blending of interior pieces.

The price was discounted about $20,000 to just about $20,000 MORE than a 26.5 foot LD.
You have to wonder what it really costs.

To top off the experience. 4 lecherous-looking sales folk sat at their table and ignored me.

Our check is on the way to Montclair.

The Isata was on the list for a very short time until I saw the retail price. I'm still trying to piece together the buying process. I can't remember when LD came in to the picture.

After going to several RV shows and a few RV dealers, the decision was Class C with rear island bed and a cab over entertainment center.

Ended up placing an order for a Lazy Daze 26.5 Mid-Bath (cab over bunk, entertainment center no option) which is different from the original decision.

Ms Gug keeps looking in the mail box for the letter. I think our MB is to be born soon.
