Anyone out there full timing it in a 26 LD? Is it big enough for you? How long have you been full timing in the unit?

hi john-

my wife and I bought a used 1989 26-footer last november and have been full-timing in it ever since. it has taken a bit of effort to pare down our possessions to fit in the given space, and we have done some significant remodelling to get more storage (including having a bench/chest installed), but we seem to be perfectly fine in it. every time i look lustfully at some of the larger rigs in our park, my wife insists we will never buy one. we are still quite young and have jobs, so we're not at home all day.

hope this helps...

Hi John,

We are not full timers, but we did live in our 26' MB for four months while we worked in Yellowstone NP. I noticed that most of the full timers there either had fifth wheels pulled by a diesel truck or were in Class A motorhomes and pulled a small car. We slept in the bed over the cab which leaves the rear area open for watching TV (we had a dish) or reading/relaxing. The curtain also allows one of us to go to bed if the other stays up with the rear lights on. While we found the storage more than adequate, I don't know if it would be for full timing , especially if you are like me and have lots of "junk", making it difficult to travel light. Obviously the bigger rigs with basements provide lots more storage.
