City Water Excitement 4 weeks ago Unlike so many in the Neighborhood, we connect to city water but we carry sufficient water in case of an emergency. On our first day of camping this week, we had city water. On the second day, I disconnected the city water hose and used it to clean something. Reconnected and went inside.Shortly thereafter, Margee announced we didn’t have any water in the kitchen. I checked everything to include water from the spigot. Still no water anywhere in the RV despite water from the spigot and despite removing the pressure control valve. City water check valve was working perfectly with no evidence of debris. Since I couldn’t figure out the source of the problem, it made me question what I know about our RV. Apparently not much I said to myself. We finally figured out this puzzle. Any ideas from anyone? Re: City Water Excitement Reply #1 – 4 weeks ago My first thought was that perhaps the kitchen faucet diffuser was plugged but you say you've lost all water from all faucets in the RV? If it's not the city water check valve, there must be some other blockage where the water enters the RV before it gets routed to the other faucet lines.The answer is obvious, Ed. Re: City Water Excitement Reply #10 – 4 weeks ago The answer to this puzzle…While the city water readily streamed out of the spigot, the water pressure was inadequate to open the check valve on the outside connection. Re: City Water Excitement Reply #12 – 3 weeks ago You are not alone. We hook up to city water when ever it is available. No need to hear and use the pump for no reason. We keep 2/3 or more water in the fresh water tank, usually fill up when camping for the chlorine vs the well water at the house.
