Thanks

Many of us never connect to the city water supply; instead, we use the onboard water system and pump exclusively, filling the tank when needed. This eliminates the need for a pressure regulator and prevents our LD's plumbing from being exposed to damaging water pressure surges. YMMV

Hi Ted, another less expensive regulator with guage.  https://www.amazon.com/Renator-Regulator-Lead-free-Adjustable-M22-0660R/dp/B0CHC2QX6Z/ref=asc_df_B0CHC2QX6Z?mcid=acb15012f4e93662b434fed82d2992e4&hvocijid=12317391326464896543-B0CHC2QX6Z-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12317391326464896543&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1014226&hvtargid=pla-2281435185058&psc=1  Gauge dial filled with silicone oil to stay readable.
If attached at the rig I'd use it with an elbow:  Amazon.com: Solid brass lead-free 90 degree garden hose elbow with rubber...  and an inline filter. Or at the faucet to protect your hose also. I'd still use the elbow at the rig so that the weight of the hose doesn't stress the LD fitting.
Like Larry, I never use a direct water connection. Too inconvenient and Lazy Daze provided large water tanks. I don't have to be concerned with the water hose freezing, and just one more thing to hook up and disconnect.  RonB

Ted-

I used the Watts 263 (adjustable) and the Fairview Hi-Flow (fixed 55 psi) regulators, in different roles. The Fairview did a great job, is simpler, smaller and less expensive than the 263. You may want to try one in lieu of an adjustable. I bought mine at the RV Water Filter Store (link here); a few years later you can buy one for less at the big online retailer (link here).

Typically we don’t connect to city water, but there are times we do.  Having tried a variety of regulators over 20 years, I am delighted with the Fairview regulator Mark mentioned. My hands aren’t super strong so I appreciate the design, with pale green knob to tighten/loosen,  plus it does not leak leak which was my main beef with all of the others. Have been using it for 8 years.
