Drive difference between a 24'TK and a 27'MB
For those of you who've had both a 24'TK and a 27'MB, what is your experience as to the difference in the handling, power, maneuverability, gas mileage, etc?  We've had both a 36' & 40' diesel MoHo's, so it's not the size of the vehicle - more as to how they handle, in your experience.  Any other insights welcome.

We find the 24' to be the sports car of RV's in terms of handling and acceleration...  but we're looking at getting some more space and a separate dinette...
TIA

Whatever length rig you buy, you will get used to it.
Yes, the 24' models are the most maneuverable and can be parked in most parking lots, if the stall is wide enough.
The shorter wheelbase models shine when used in city conditions, once on the road, they all drive in a similar manner.

Get the shorter one if you value parking in smaller spaces or excess carrying capacity.   Get the longer if you want the extra space inside.

I don’t think you will see much difference in most driving or mpg.

Hi Bill.  I can't really compare the drivability and handling differences between the two since my TK was a 1985 on a Chevy chassis but, suffice it to say, that the Ford is much better!  I can comment on the size difference once parked though . . . Having the extra space that the dinette area provides really makes a difference in livability, especially since we sleep in the rear lounge in which at least one sofa is left in 'sleep mode'. The longer Ford chassis has more than sufficient carry capacity for us but YMMV.

I've had a '22 MP on a Chevy chassis (1990, 454 cu) and my current '27 RB on a Ford chassis (2005).  I could parallel park the Chevy, and it's narrower and shorter than the Ford.  The fit/finish of the Chevy interior is nicer.  Sometimes I steal it from Jennifer, just to drive it.  Now, I'm a Chevy person, too.  They are both nice drivers.  I always wanted to put a "remove to haul Fords" on the receiver hitch on my 1974 Chevy short-bed, but my Dad/Mom were die hard Ford folks and wouldn't allow it.  Mama liked the MP/Chevy layout better, too.  And Dad would use the Chevy to haul his broken Fords.  That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

If you value getting in to small campsites, parking in regular parking spots in a pinch, and generally being very maneuverable, the TK is for you.   While a MB was very very tempting space wise back in 2022, I’m very happy I stuck to my guns and went with a 2017 TK.   I’ve parallel parked it with relative ease at least a dozen times in urban environments.

Yes it’s tight on living space inside but I wouldn’t give up where I can go for those three extra feet in the MB.

TK’s driver seat can recline slightly into the bathroom in a TK, providing crucial inches for a tall (6’1”+) driver, impossible in a MB.

To help with space, I built a pantry in the wasted alcove next to the bathroom, and installed a swivel base for the passenger seat, providing a crucial extra coach chair.

Since more room is wanted, along with a dinette, a Mid-Bath is the logical choice...decision made.
We have owned a short Front Lounge model for 30 years and 210,000 miles between the two LDs
and found them to be roomy enough.
