Re: Folding Locking Legs for LD Tables Reply #2 – October 28, 2024, 12:22:45 am Folding legs for the tables. Have the dinette, but also had LD install a table with extension in the rear of the coach between the sofas - same one the installed in the 24ft model. The leg under the rear table is the one with the faulty locking mechanism.Craig 1 Likes

Good idea to have a table installed, something that I miss in our 2017 MB (my older TK had the table). I've thought about adding a Lagun table which would easily swing out of the way but have yet to pursue it: Camper, RV, Boat and Van Table Leg Systems - The Original Lagun
Re: Folding Locking Legs for LD Tables Reply #5 – October 28, 2024, 01:07:03 pm I installed a Lagun table in my midbath, and was very happy with it. Because the Lagun base mounts to a vertical surface, I did have to make a box-like extension to get the baseplate and vertical post out beyond the cushion overhang. These photos show a prototype version of that setup, so please excuse the exposed screws. The teak folding tabletop shown here is one that was intended for marine use; I had to order it from a European firm. (Sorry, but I've forgotten the source.) It's similar to this one. Of course a simple one-piece plywood tabletop would cost a lot less, but I wanted the versatility and stowability of a folding top. 3 Likes
Re: Folding Locking Legs for LD Tables Reply #7 – October 28, 2024, 10:54:45 pm Thanks, Greg! Some additional thoughts:The folding table is nice, but the teak tabletop I bought was quite expensive. Boating stuff... you know. ;-) Yes, you could just use a single slab of plywood instead. But that's not the only alternative. If you're confident with a router, you could make your own three-piece table like the one I bought, using any wood you liked and recessed hinges. This set from Rockler looked good until I realized that you need 180° action for this to work, and those only open 90°. But I know that similar hinges with 180° scope are available. If you don't have a router, an even simpler way to make a three-piece folding table would be to use ordinary hinges and mount them at the outer edges of the table, as in this example. The barrels will stick up, but with the hinges out at the edges, they won't be too much of a nuisance.Either way, you could use hardwood-veneer plywood and then finish the edges with iron-on wood veneer trim. I've used this on many projects; it's an easy way to make a plywood slab look great. 1 Likes
Re: Folding Locking Legs for LD Tables Reply #8 – October 29, 2024, 06:02:51 am For those of us with more mature Lazy Daze's this folding table leg from Amazon is more like what I have. You could replace the entire leg or use pieces. https://www.amazon.com/Zebra-RV-TABLE-LEG-FOLDING/dp/B019QGRGYQ/ref=sr_1_8?crid=14BGHRBS1399C&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.MVTzubHo6Nvt-SHazL4HQL50HTnnpV99LSyQ8BFLdVJURrYntWrejpUzPVqTMppkBdJBxbu_SuIRlRKs0OL7qjtnJDsrkLcMD7UissHXF01V9q77m5uCMSxnYNlxRh4JrfE12sHkytsw91AVT80yRkdyt_nVTfATvDeR8Zz-J6iP8Fe4AReqxq-v5OScxcUu8d60YqyG0TjlNd-uC8W1pU2u38XlxoHrH9uuwG2SfN0ehzXUbUOeh_OnvbLI7doUWacnCUREcfNX77ZAhlxshguFbkM6c34pOKLnNuwGxgQ.GKV9BrKhhmrkYPd-pmNSkqvhZYlIj7zFXAWSZHc7C80&dib_tag=se&keywords=folding+table+leg+for+rv+table&qid=1730195936&sprefix=folding+table+leg+for+rv+table%2Caps%2C217&sr=8-8 RonB As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.
Re: Folding Locking Legs for LD Tables Reply #9 – October 29, 2024, 09:13:08 am Yeah Ron, I believe that is what my TK had. Sure do miss having a table back there so until a better solution is found (such as Andy's example) I purchased this inexpensive plastic cabinet from Amazon. It has modular sections so the height can be adjusted. The top can be used as a little table to put stuff on.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CGZ9ZK4Z?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title 1 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.

Re: Folding Locking Legs for LD Tables Reply #11 – October 29, 2024, 08:55:19 pm Oh, I didn't realize that. Thanks, Larry! If I'd known that, I might have made my own folding tabletop. But now that I take a closer look at Rockler's instruction sheet for those particular hinges, it looks as if they can only open 90°, whereas for the type of folding table we're talking about you need 180° action. So... not those hinges, but something similar with 180° scope. I've corrected my previous post.
