Replacement for my 2004 MB Shower Skylight Dome.
Replacement for my 2004 MB Shower Skylight Dome. Wondering if anyone knows were I can find a replacement top skylight dome. I did reach out to Todd. But not sure if he's still selling parts. Thank you.

Todd is the answer on this one.   The price will make you think twice, but it's worth it if he still has them.

Get one from Todd while you can--it's worth it, because the replacement dome is much sturdier than the original.

We need one for our ‘01 mid bath.  but when my husband called Todd he told him no can do, and had no alternative suggestions for us.
We have not had any luck finding one or what size we even need. May have to remove the original just to see exactly what we need, but nervous about doing that. It’s pretty fragile now. Lots of Eternabond around flange to temp. fix leaks.

On the rig I had before the LD I replaced the shower skylight with 1/4" smoky Lexan. Worked great.

Just reread your post. If the base is failing my suggestion is of no help!

Since the upgraded Dome once sold by LD is not available anymore, constructing a new dome as Jor did is probably your best choice of curing this problem.
A piece of Lexan and a frame of aluminum angle would not be too hard to make. I assume the leak is caused by the old, cracked dome.
Removing the old Eternabond tape is going to be a chore.

Thankfully I had Todd send me a replacement shower dome and I already had it installed!  Yay for me.  Sounds like his inventory is getting low and if we need something - anything - we should try to get it ASAP!

Jon, thanks for posting the information about Maxim Skylights! I wonder if they were the manufacturer that Lazy Daze used to fabricate the improved skylight dome? I find myself wondering if this was where Todd was ordering the replacement skylights he was selling? It would be helpful if some who knows Todd could inquire about this and the proper size to order (since it appears Todd is no longer selling the replacements)? I am pretty sure he did not have a stockpile of skylights and I seem to recall a post by someone who wanted a replacement skylight that the price was somewhat dependent on how many orders were placed.

FYI - Here is Todd's note about the skylight dome replacements, but he didn't name who made them --
"These are specially made units which unfortunately are kind of pricey. Nothing I can do about that sorry. I am not sure how long or if I will get more of these down the road. Will see how it goes?"
Good luck replacing the old dome -- when mine was removed to replace it, the whole old dome fell apart in pieces! 
Todd wrote he's surprised it was still there, and that "Many people show up to their destinations and find it gone."

Back in our Airstream days, we had these guys replace a cracked skylight (we actually had to remove the old one and install this one)...  Don't remember the price from back in 2008 or '09, it wasn't cheap, tho'.  It was very well made, sturdy and MUCH better than the factory installed skylight.  They were "custom" built.

It would be great  if they could make 'em for us Lazy Daze folks...
