seeking St Louis area repair shop recommendations April 19, 2024, 03:08:07 pm Hey all -I had a big tree/power lines fall on my daze this week. Thankfully we weren't hurt and the damage doesn't feel as devastating as I thought it would be, given the size of the tree. Photos added for context.I am looking for repair shop recommendations in the St. Louis area. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,Mak 1 Likes
Re: seeking St Louis area repair shop recommendations Reply #1 – April 19, 2024, 04:42:21 pm Sorry to see the damage. The cabover looks like it has some serious structural damage; I hope you have really good insurance on it and perhaps replacement value coverage.Count your blessings that nobody was hurt.Steve K
Re: seeking St Louis area repair shop recommendations Reply #2 – April 19, 2024, 07:02:30 pm The front "roll bar" is what kept the cabover from collapsing. The triangular carpeted gusset behind the bunk curtain is what connects the side bar to the roof bar. If the roof is true from that point back (with tree removed), then repair could be reasonable. If the roll bar is damaged, then the hidden damage could be extensive.Steve 1 Likes
Re: seeking St Louis area repair shop recommendations Reply #3 – May 08, 2024, 10:59:35 pm Hi.There is a company in Fort Oglethorpe, GA who rebuilds damaged RVs. They special in roofing but they are well versed in all RV repairs. Fort Oglethorpe, GA is just over the Tennessee state line, below Chattanooga.RV Roof Install LLC | About Companythis is a a video of a 2000 Lazy Daze New Roof, Bunk Re-build, Repaired https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5m51-7L7C9AI live in St. Louis. I would not trust any of the local rv shops to repair your damage.Hope this helpsMark
