Driver side window stuck in the down position
Hey all,

We have a 2005 26.5 mid-bath. Yesterday as we headed out for a trip, the driver’s side window would not roll up. The motor seems to be running but whatever moves the window up and down isn’t working. Does anyone know of a shop or mobile mechanic in the Seattle area who might be able to repair the window? We are currently ’driveway’ camping in Port Orchard but heading back to Seattle Monday. Thanks in advance.

Your power window assembly is probably broken, when the cable breaks, it will stay in the down position.
Search the archives for the replacement procedure.

Empathy post only...what luck! Our regulator just broke too - glad the lows are in the 40's now. Bought a replacement regulator for our 2003 at Autozone for less than $100. The trick is now to figure out how to repair it (or find someone knowledgeable to do so).

O:) Best of luck with your window. I’ll see if I can find a regulator locally. It’s taking apart the door and getting it back together without a bunch of leftover screws. Lol

Here's a guide to the door fasteners.

The tough part of replacing the power window motor assembly is removing the rivets that hold the mechanism in place. Some rivet can be drilled, others need to be cut out. I used a Dremel with a cutoff disc.
It is easiest to use nuts and bolts to replace the rivets.

This happened to me right before leaving town a couple years ago.
I called a locally owned glass company and got in that afternoon.
I knew they replace car windshields as well as residential services.
Seems like it was the motor arm. May not have the terminology correct.
Hope this is helpful, Kimberley
