He got up to use the bathroom when “I noticed my wife had dozed off… we are headed toward the median and I tried to grab the steering wheel, but before I could grab the steering wheel, we already had impact and I was thrown out the window.”Patrick was ejected from the RV through the driver-side window and over the center median. He tumbled and slid along the opposite side of the freeway—a scene captured on a motorist’s dashcam—miraculously avoiding being run over by the oncoming high-speed traffic. One driver swerved sharply to avoid hitting him, and he pulled himself against the divider as people came to his aid.

Not an assumption: he said he grabbed the wheel and tried to steer the RV back on track, but was too late.
