Re-caulking roof seams
Hi. I purchased several cans of Dicor self-leveling seam seal.
I'm re-caulking over the factory seal caulk. How did the factory get such a wide caulk line. Did they use a special nozzle.
I'm using a standard caulk gun, the bead is small compared to the factory.

Your thoughts.
Thanks!

On our 2009 LD, the Factory used a non-leveling polyurethane sealant.  The sealant was troweled over the seams.  I don’t know if the Factory used tubes of the sealant or some other method.   When I use non-leveling sealant for a wide application, I cut the nozzle very large and make a large hole 🕳️ in the top of the tube.   Then like the Factory, I trowel or spread it using masking tape to make an edge.  Hope this helps.
