What is it? [round object near entry door]
I've been staring at this round thing since buying the rig last November. Stumped!

From the shape,  I suspect it might be  a tuit.
Then again, it may be a bumper to keep the door from banging when opened?

...or, when exiting rifle in hand, allows using the barrel to slam the door without marring the paint...

The door opens away from it towards the front.

One thing is for certain and that is this object is not a factory installed option.  😄And it doesn’t look like a camera or doorbell.  OP didn’t mention seeing anything on the inside which might be connected to this mystery item.

So my best guess it might be magnetic socket for a security camera like an Arlo.  Place something like a paper clip on it and see if it’s magnetic.

I’m guessing it’s something that needs to be removed and thrown away.

These are quite common in manufactured homes.  They are placed on the wall where a door swings open to absorb the THUD!

I found another use for them, too.  I put one at each corner of my glass chopping block.  I like having it up off the counter a little way.  Not sure why.

Thanks all.  Being that it's ugly, useless, and not original, it's coming off.  Hoping I'm not left with a bright aluminum circle..

Happy Father's Day!!

Sounds like a starter item for your RV junk drawer.  You MAY find its use in a few years. 😉
Safe travels

Hi Don;  I'm still trying to think what it might be. A bumper of some sort.
I'm going to assume you have the standard Fiamma awning. When deployed I used to hang the awning winder rod on the mount for the center stiffener, (that nobody uses).  In your RB that would be right about there.  Motion inside the rig would make that arm bang against the body.  In case a wind comes up suddenly, I thought it would be handy to have ready (quick) access to the rod to stow or reduce the portion of exposed awning. This can happen really suddenly, and leaves a mangled wreckage behind (witnessed that!)  So try that first just to see if that could be the reason for it.   RonB

Thanks Ron -  I'll crank open the awning and see how the support arm lines up.
