Vinyl Floor Trim
I'm painting the woodwork and later I'm going to install some laminate flooring. For those that have done either job, did you just yank this trim out, cut it flush or what? Thanks.

Yup.  It's secured incredibly well so you'll likely have to use a blade to cut it flush.
