Stuck Windows October 12, 2022, 04:42:37 pm Somewhat recently someone made an inquiry about stuck or hard to open windows. I have some additional experience with this annoying issue. As we know, there’s a track made of plastic and felt like material inside the window frame. When that track gets old and brittle the felt material can bunch up and form a wedge, locking the window. Once the window is locked by the wedge, it takes an immense amount of force to break it free. Once the window is freed, remove the damaged part of the track, clean and dry lube. Now the window should open easily. Today’s self taught lesson. 😌 2 Likes
