Portable washer-spinners, recommendations?
Has anyone had any experience with the portable clothes washer-spinner units? I like that they are less than 40 lbs. I could take out one of my barrel chairs to store the unit and move it into my shower to use. I don’t need one yet but when my husband retires we could use something like this on long trips.
Now for those of you that are pro laundromats, we have used laundromats all over the country and in other countries while traveling and it has usually worked out fine. However, on our last two month trip, my husband had a terrible reaction after washing his clothes at a laundromat and broke out in a rash all over his body, required medication and took weeks to recover. He was miserable for many days and nights.
I’m not saying I’m giving up on laundromats, I’m just looking for other options.
Has anyone used one of these portable units?

Hi Tracy;  recently there was someone here that posted about one in Europe that seemed pretty good. But I think I remember that it was a prototype and actually wasn't being manufactured yet. Just a 'trial balloon' to see if there was a market.  It may have been a dishwasher too.   So you are thinking of these:  Robot or human?    You would probably need water and electricity hookups.
Or this one:  Amazon.com: COMFEE' Portable Washing Machine, 0.9 cu.ft Compact Washer With...
And you would need a dryer too.   Robot or human?            RonB

Tracy, last year at ABF Don & Karen who had a LD~MB had a portable washer they carried in their Jeep which they towed.
They said it worked great.

Bob Wells did a review of a washer/spinner unit on his YouTube Channel "CheapRVLiving".  Randy did a great demonstration.  Then another video of a family of 3 in a 5th wheel came up with another great demo.  I'm going to get one as soon as I get my Lazy Daze.  Zanobia       zanobiashalks@gmail.com

Zanobia, it would be helpful if you mentioned what brands were shown in these videos, or at least provided links to the videos in question.

Hi Andy,  Your reputation precedes you.  I'd be pleased as punch if the Lazy Daze I purchase has a pantry on the outside of the bathroom wall.  The washer/spinners have gone up in price but I'd still buy one.  Zanobia

Liam and Karen are correct.  Tery and I have the Giantex Mini Washer-Spinner (two barreled;16 lb capacity)  It works great. It fits in the back of our towed Wrangler or in the LD’s shower, which is where we use it. We used it several times last fall during our ABF trip.  The model we bought does not seem to be available on Amazon today, but there are similar models albeit at a higher price point.
