Hydraulic Repair Shop Level Best September 12, 2022, 11:02:28 am Hello, 94’ Twin King 23’ ChevyIt seems that the seals of my hydraulic leveling systems are not performing as they should. After a series of tests, checking fluid levels, adding new Dexron, etc… we now believe that the seals are leaking. I have a long video that shows the issue. Sadly, the Daze is not safe to drive without getting this issue fixed. I am in need of recommendation of a shop that can fix hydraulic seals.San Gabriel Valley // LA County
Re: Hydraulic Repair Shop Level Best Reply #1 – September 12, 2022, 11:46:42 am If your LD has kick-down levelers, they can be tied into the up position with baling wire, the straight cylinders can have the same done with a little more work. Make sure the pump's power is off when moving. If a cylinder's ram drops and will not go back up, disconnect the hydraulic hose(s) going to the cylinder and then push the ram back up and secure. With the hydraulic hose(s) disconnected, expect to get a bath of hydraulic fluid. Have a container available for collecting the draining fluid. No suggestion on hydraulic shops, let your fingers do the walking. Your cylinders may or maybe be rebuildable, depending on how they are constructed. Screwed-together cylinders are usually rebuildable, welded ones are normally not rebuildable. What brand of levelers do you have?Larry 1 Likes
Re: Hydraulic Repair Shop Level Best Reply #2 – September 12, 2022, 01:50:05 pm Hi Larry; I think the 'Level Best' in the topic refers to the Kwikee levelers. https://lci-support-doc.s3.amazonaws.com/manuals/leveling-and-stabilization/kwikee/kwikee___level_best_service_guide_apr98__ksg001__s.pdf RonB

Re: Hydraulic Repair Shop Level Best Reply #5 – September 28, 2022, 09:12:35 pm Your levelers were probably made by Kwikee, a company that has been out of business for many years. New cylinders are most likely non-existent.A true hydraulic shop may be able to rebuild your cylinders or build a new, replacement cylinder, this may be your only alternative.Larry
