An Ode To The Mothership
I think I’m alone now.

There’s an emptiness inside. It’s a hollow space where comfort once was.

Where before I had a place to return now the space has grown empty, no longer for sure. No knowing my needs and my questions be met. No hand to hold mine when the going gets rough.

It’s a sadness I feel. A yearning not cured. No answer to fill me to comfort my fears.

There are others around me. I can turn to for sure. Not abandoned, not empty just a little unsure.

I ordered my first new LD in 1996 from ED while I lived in Hawaii. Put $5000 down and picked it up 3 mos later. During the three month wait, I visited the Mothership a couple times, always bring Ed a bag of Hawaii coffee beans. Years later ,  I stopped to chat with Steve before shipping my 86 CHEV LD  to Australia which I STILL enjoy.
I have my 2000 LD here and kept in VEGAS storage while I am in OZ, but with the Mothership closed, IT just seems like there is a Void. Sure hope someone establishes a "Mini-Mothership"  with parts etc.
