Screen door latch - where to install?
I need the help of you experienced LD people. I bought a screen door latch but I don’t know where on the screen door to install it. I know it goes  on the outside of the screen door, but that’s all I know so far. I’ve included pictures of my doorway. Does this go below the deadbolt? Between the deadbolt and handle? Below the handle? Where does it go so it doesn’t impede on closing the outer door? Help!

Ours is mounted at the bottom edge of the slide access panel opening, you can open the slide and press down the screen door latch. The outside of the screen frame appears a little different than ours. I don't think we have the channel.

Thank you, Jons. I’ll take a look and see if it will work. I think I will tape or hot glue the handle in place first just to see if I can still close the door before I drill holes.

I think it'll work, here is how ours is mounted. appears the same.

Thank you, Jon and Steve for the pictures. It really helps to know where to install this before I start drilling holes.

Thank you to those of you that helped me with the location for the screen door latch. I finally have it installed, including the inside release lever and I'm very happy with it 😀
