Day Tripping Las Vegas
Sometimes we (me) forget that day tripping is OK to plan.  And do so without all of the pre hassle of the longer (and almost always more memorial longer voyages.

Particularly in the Las Vegas Nevada area where thousands of square miles are waiting for your visit and enjoyment.

At Lake Mead National Recreational Area today were few travelers, little traffic, and beautiful 70 degree weather.

Better times are coming folks....patience just a little longer.

Cheers!

So what months are the ideal time to camp in the Arizona, Nevada, and California deserts?

It depends on the altitude. The lower Colorado and the Sonoran Desert warn up in April and cool off in Nov ember
The Mojave and Great Basin are higher in altitude and the winter season starts a little earlier and end later
All of the deserts have higher altitude areas, know as desert islands or islands in the sky, where one can escape from the summer heat.
The season also depends on your tolerance of heat and cold, and if you have hookups.
