Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 February 07, 2021, 02:02:34 am If you see this RV it's probably a scam as it has been listed in multiple locations across the country at different prices. I think the eBay listing is the only real one, but there is no way to be certain. Best to stay away.Quotehttps://www.rvtrader.com/listing/1995-Lazy+Daze-23.5-5015471991?cmp=email_rv_search-alertQuotehttps://www.ebay.com/itm/303861249793?ul_noapp=true 4 Likes

Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #2 – February 07, 2021, 08:01:09 pm Hmmm... If the eBay one is authentic, then it still has two hours to go and the price is over $25K and still going up.
Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #3 – February 07, 2021, 11:36:03 pm Well, 100K miles is believable. If kept indoors, it looks good. I think $25K is a bit high, but I haven't seen it either. I would expect more in the $10K to $15K range. Being listed many places, for different amounts doesn't automatically make it a scam. After an in person inspection, and the title is verified as authentic, It could be a good motorhome. People live in different places, and naturally I would advertise it in different locations. With the VIN, the state and owner can be verified. Due diligence is always required for transactions at a distance, and large amounts. The pictures might not represent it's current condition either. Provenance with regard to owners, locations, title and accidents/maintenance and legal entanglements can reveal it's status. I have known people in the past that as they moved around would put their vehicles up for sale. Usually for declining amounts, as if they weren't really sure if they wanted to keep it, sell it, or if they could get enough to upgrade to a newer vehicle. RonB

Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #6 – February 08, 2021, 01:14:45 pm The first ad that currently comes up on the RV Trader website at the link, above, is for a 2011 Mid-Bath. But in the description, it says it has a rear kitchen! Don't think so! 1 Likes
Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #7 – February 08, 2021, 07:50:29 pm Looks like it wasn't a 'scam' and did sell. A licensed auto dealer in Tucson Az. I think the price $25,400, was still too high. The problem with online auctions is, if the buyer doesn't show up, then it may be back on the market again. In person auctions, you have to put up some money in order to bid. RV Trader doesn't want to disapoint, so it re-directs you to something similar, in this case a 2011 RK. It is a Mid bath. The bath is in the middle, and for people not used to LD's nomeclature, applies well. You can tell by the windows/pictures that it is a RK, rear kitchen model. LD doesn't make this floorplan anymore. I'm not sure when it was discontinued....maybe 2015 or so. RonB
Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #8 – February 09, 2021, 01:14:39 pm Hi Romeo. Quit with the scam thing. This is a different year (1992), different city/state. Different mileage and different pictures. A different list of features too. If you had ever been to a Caravan Club meeting 20 years ago, and told a visitor to look for you in the 'Blue' motorhome you'd know about that. Possibly this seller was watching that other auction, and after seeing the closing price, decided, 'now is the time to sell!' Hoping to pick up the potential buyers that didn't win the last auction. Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #10 – February 09, 2021, 07:50:46 pm That 1995 LD eBay auction got 117 bids! Starting at $500 up to $25,400. If that Tucson buyer was a dealer, I wonder what that could leave for profit? 1 Likes
Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #11 – February 10, 2021, 04:56:15 am Hi Kristen. The Tucson dealer was the seller, probably consignment. His take would be about $1k to $2k (a guess on my part), and EBay takes a cut. Arizona takes a cut, but not much unless the buyer was an AZ resident. RonB From Abbley's second quote above...edited to shorten: I am located in Tucson, AZ ... this little Lazy Daze is worth the trip!.... I am a licensed/bonded AZ auto dealer... NOT by choice, but because here in the great state of AZ if you buy/sell more than 3 vehicles (of any kind) in any 12 month period, you have to get a license. I am in real estate, but also a classic car and Airstream nut......got my license 14 years ago. Certified funds, cash in person or bank wire-transfer only. Payments MUST clear before the RV leaves my sight.... AZ it costs me $15.00 to get a temporary registration so that a buyer can drive home legally and $4.00 for a title..... I do NOT go to auctions and buy cars to sell, anything that I have sold or will sell either belonged to me or someone that I know or is a "consignment" type of sale..... This is a USED RV and is being sold as-is/where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. This coach is in great condition, but please be realistic- it is NOT a "brand new" coach- there will be wear and tear, dings, chips, and other minor imperfections from normal use and going down the highway. This unit is VERY CLEAN, but it is 26 years old....I would .....recommend that you come see it or have a 3rd party inspection..... be governed in all respects by the laws of the Great State of Arizona as they apply to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely within Arizona between Arizona residents.... I require a deposit of $500 via Paypal immediately upon winning the bid; I also require CONTACT with the buyer within 24 hours of winning the auction, just send me an email or give me a call so that I know who you are, etc. If there is no contact and no deposit, I reserve the right to sell the coach to the next bidder.....Taxes: Arizona Residents: Must pay Sales tax (6.1%) as we are located in Pima County.....any Non-Arizona Residents Using a Shipping Company: Pay No sales tax. The eBay final bid price is your price, you may have to pay taxes in your home state upon registration depending on where you live......**Non-Arizona (US) Residents Taking Delivery in Arizona: Out of state buyers that take delivery in Arizona will pay sales tax according to their home state's tax rate. All customers who take delivery in Arizona will receive a receipt showing taxes paid in Arizona to avoid being double charged by their home state. Licensed dealers do not pay sales tax. 1 Likes
Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #12 – February 21, 2021, 01:12:31 pm Just an FYI follow-up, I did contact the ebay seller and they did confirm that the other ads were indeed scams (but there is no way to truly know for sure). So the ebayer was probably legit, while the others were copying their ad and stealing pics.
Re: Scam Alert - 1995 LAZY DAZE 23.5 Reply #13 – February 21, 2021, 06:01:00 pm RonB, I have seen ads from the seller that you mention. He appears to be legit and is required to have a dealers license because he sells more than 6 vehicles per year.
