Upgrading interior lights to LED
In November we changed our fluorescent tube lights to LED tube lights to reduce power usage and to improve the brightness inside the coach.
I ordered the LED tube lights from Amazon. I found they take 18ā€ tubes which are standard size.  To prepare the light fixtures, I popped the plastic cover off, removed the tubes by rotating to unlock then pulling down gently, unscrewed the six screws, removed the wire caps to release the wires so I could release the entire light fixture. I then popped the metal interior piece out to expose the circuitry.  Now Iā€™m ready to change the wiring for the LED tubes. See pictures.
For step by step video, visit RV Repair see their video list.
This was not as easy as the video shows, we ended up breaking a few of the connectors off the wires and had to solder them back together.  Changing out the lights has made a nice difference to the brightness inside the coach.

Your light tubes were definitely ready for replacement, you won't believe the difference. If you think you have to much light, just remove one tube.
