Re: LD blow out hose? Reply #2 – November 01, 2020, 03:26:33 pm Remember to set the pressure for the air compressor to 40 psi or lower to prevent damage to the piping. My air compressor is set to 125 psi (tires), so might be pretty tough on water plumbing systems for an RV. Lazy Daze provided a water pressure regulator with the coach, preset to 45 psi. RonB
Re: LD blow out hose? Reply #3 – November 01, 2020, 03:35:55 pm this is the hose I got from the mothership. The previous owner took me by to pick up a few things when I purchase the RV.
Re: LD blow out hose? Reply #4 – November 01, 2020, 03:51:50 pm The owners manual has you disconnecting the output line on the water pump. One of these wrenches are very useful. Echoing what was earlier mentioned don't use to much pressure. Attach is a pic of the wrench and the passage in the owners manual.

Re: LD blow out hose? Reply #6 – November 01, 2020, 04:06:47 pm The manual suggests running a bit of antifreeze through the strainer and through the pump before reattaching the line. Because it gets cold here I pump antifreeze through all the cold water lines starting at the strainer as suggested. I made a rig to help with this. It just connects at the strainer. The strainer uses some kind of quick connect clip that you have to be careful with. It is a bear to find when it pops off and goes back into the corner somewhere. Ask me how I know.If you're nervous about blowing out the system you can pump antifreeze through the complete water system. I don't have a water heater cutoff so when I do this it takes 7 to eight gallons. Why would I do this. I live on a hill. I worry about the small amount of water collecting in a low spot and then freezing. 8 gallons of antifreeze is cheep insurance for a good nights sleep. I also always put about a half gallon into each holding tank.
Re: LD blow out hose? Reply #8 – November 02, 2020, 04:02:37 pm PSANever under ANY circumstances use automotive antifreeze. It will injure you up to and including kill you. Use only antifreeze meant for RV water systems. One you can drink and one you can't.glen 1 Likes
