Easy Level Ramps That Work October 16, 2020, 09:52:48 am Hello to our LD FamilyPhoto below is one of a pair of Rhino Ramps. They are light (about 15 # each) I think $39.00 from Amazon. They do fit in our LD RB 27' passenger side outside rear storage compartment, but it is a little bit of a hassle to pull them out when arriving at a camp site.So....I now store them in the rear of the toad. If they fit sideways in our Suzuki they will fit in anything you pull. They work perfectly on the front wheels with a good solid (Harbor Freight $8.00) chock behind the tire. We rarely ever travel without the toad so it makes a perfect storage space for (light weight) items. When we arrive at the selected site my wife uses a level on a pre-determined spot in our LD. If the front needs raising we simply put one or both of these in front or rear of the front tires and drive slowly on - until the "bubble" centers. For the rear tires if leveling is needed we usually use the square plastic blocks. They are not auto levelers, but it works; easy to use and very light to move around. Storing them in the toad was a no brainer. Just a thought if you are looking for alternatives to heavy wooden blocks. I threw the packaging away but recall they were rated for 12,000 or 14,000#.Most respectfully,Tony R (aka codefour) 2 Likes

Re: Easy Level Ramps That Work Reply #2 – October 16, 2020, 11:43:27 am If you camp in very cold weather, be careful using plastic ramps. They can become brittle at low temps and possibly shatter. The cheaper Walmart version of Lynxs blocks do not work well in cold conditions either. And I will repeat Don's question, what about the rear duals? They both need to be supported when leveling.Do you carry a set or two of Lynx blocks to supplement the ramps?Larry
Re: Easy Level Ramps That Work Reply #3 – October 16, 2020, 04:18:25 pm Yes, I do carry a set of (2) Usually only one is necessary to level - side to side.Haven't tried the ramps on the dual wheels as I do carry the square blocks for the rear tires. Thanks for the tip on cold weather use. I'll let the group know if it is an issue.
