Awning will not completly close and be flush in the compartment.
1993 MB  Not sure what I did but I no longer can get the awning to be flush in the housing (not sure what to call it).

The locks that slide down still work to hold it in place. But I would like to hear what may be the problem so I can try to address it.

Thanks in advance for your advice

You might want to check the information in “The Companion”. The link is on the home page of the forum.

I have the same issue. Going to try the first unwrinkling method first as described in the mentioned companion. direct link to that page about this here: The Lazy Daze Companion: Awning

If the info on The Companion does not fix it for you. On the extended arms, you will find an adjustment block. Moving it slightly one way or the other will make a big difference in how the awning closes. Mark with a pencil the initial position, so you can return to it if needed. I should really add this to The Companion, but I think I should add pictures and I am lazy today.

Most Fiamma awnings will eventually stretch on one side more than the other, when rolled in, one side doesn't fully retract.
On the loose end, short strips of duct tape can be used to slightly increase the diameter of the roller, on that side, so that it pulls the fabric in a little faster on that side when rolling it in.
From 2004 forward, there is a red adjuster on the rear of the awning roller that can be rotated to slightly increase or decrease the roller's diameter, at that end.
I never had much luck with Steve's method of restretching the fabric using the middle support.

This is a trip. Just noticed last night ours doing the same thing, before I saw this. We were in TN yesterday and used it. Tonight in KY. Even though it locks I put some wire tires around it.
