Taking awning off - freestyle
One of our projects has been to remove our awning.   We use sail cloths instead.  We will be donating our awning to Melissa.

We have a Freedom II from Carefree of CO.  I don’t know if it is original or was added with the flurry of items done right after it was purchased (or sometime later).

I found https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/documents/Freedom-WM-Installation-Manual.pdf
Which is the closest one to our style.

This matches what we see - 3 screws we think we can access if we open up the awning.
Plates with a long row of screws above the awning.

If we reverse the install instructions, we would take off the bottom brackets for the vertical supports, unfurl the awning, take out the 3 screws, twist the awning 90 degrees and lift it out, then take off the back brackets and patch holes of course.

Anyone take off this model (or a similar one) - does this sound right.  Any tips?

Thanks Jane
