Re: MCLUBE SailKote High-Performance Dry Lubricant, 8 oz Reply #2 – May 24, 2020, 09:56:42 am Kimberly,McLube Sailkote is a good product and I use it regularly for locks and sliding window tracks. As Joan suggested, 303 is also great stuff and an excellent defense against the damaging effects of ultraviolet light on plastic and other parts. I don't use 303 inside the Lazy Daze since UV is rarely a problem, but it is great for plastic parts on the outside of the Jeep and motorcycles.Harold

Re: MCLUBE SailKote High-Performance Dry Lubricant, 8 oz Reply #4 – May 24, 2020, 10:36:01 am Be cautious when applying the Sail Kote (or 3-in-One window track lube) to the window tracks; clean the tracks well first - I use a toothbrush and white vinegar and water; dry them well - and use the "straw" (on the container or separate) to apply the lube directly onto the bottom of the window track. The glue that holds the fuzzy strips on the sides of the window tracks can come loose if the track lube gets on those surfaces. I also suggest covering the back(s) of the couches or anything else that may in in the way of any "stray spray".
Re: MCLUBE SailKote High-Performance Dry Lubricant, 8 oz Reply #5 – May 24, 2020, 02:03:46 pm I have used McLUBE SailKoe for over ten years, originally suggested by sailor Bill Atkins, an old member here. It's excellent stuff but very expensive.A cheaper variation for the window tracks is using a dry Teflon spray lube. I buy this at HD.Blaster 9.3 oz. Advanced Dry Lube with Teflon-16-TDL - The Home DepotIt doesn't last quite as long but is still a good product.303 is THE product to use on rubber and vinyl products.Larry
