Shades, blinds
Having an issue with one of the simplest of things. How do the blinds work? The cord seems to be attached to this plastic thing and is hard to get to do to the decorative corners.

Just grab the blind by the bottom (center) and pull down. You don't have to touch the strings.

Push them back up the same way. :-)

Yes, yes, don't touch the strings, they break easily enough and it is quite a job to replace broken springs.
Restringing Shades

And when the pleated shades wear out or become too dirty to clean, roller shades are much simpler to use and cheaper to buy.
LD installs roller shades today and did so twenty years ago.
