Eat Safe January 21, 2020, 04:04:47 pm Since there are a couple of get-togethers coming up in San Luis Obispo County, I thought some of you may be interested in this website. It's a the SLO County website where restaurant health inspection results are posted:https://www.slocounty.ca.gov/Departments/Health-Agency/Public-Health/Environmental-Health/All-Environmental-Health-Services/Food-Facility-Inspection-Results.aspxFor a short time while attending school at Cal Poly, I had a job working for a local fire protection company. One of the duties involved inspecting and servicing restaurant kitchen extinguishing systems so I saw many of the kitchen facilities throughout the county. You would be surprised at some of the conditions I saw (just a warning, carefully check the health ratings of pretty much any Chinese restaurant before eating there)!Bon appetite!
Re: Eat Safe Reply #1 – January 21, 2020, 04:46:28 pm The most recent inspection should be available to review upon request. The staff will be happy to show it to you, or at least pretend to be. You might find it interesting what they look for. I will be interested.I grew up working in my parents hole-in-the wall diner. Our inspections always lost 4 points on 'walls of a smooth and easily cleaned construction' which the landlord did not feel needed changing in the 13 years they had the place.

Re: Eat Safe Reply #3 – January 21, 2020, 05:18:01 pm Nice to see my favorite spot — Bayside Cafe — gets a Certificate of Excellence and a 100% inspection score. Can’t wait for the get-together in March. Yum! — Jon 1 Likes
