Re: How to repair a leaking city water connection valve instead of r October 24, 2012, 11:13:39 am Yahoo Message Number: 134469Quote Hi Steve, Thanks very much for the excellent repair description. Just what the doctor ordered for my city water valve problem caused by my not relieving water pressure prior to pushing the button to bleed the water out of that area. I had no problem finding a warning in the Lazy Daze manual to avoid doing exactly that - after I created the problem. Did you get the replacement hardware from the factory? Thanks, Pete Hi Pete, You guys have really been digging in the archives for that old post! Glad it helped a few of you get the city water connection repaired instead of replacing the entire part. I bought a similar city water valve at Camping World in order to canibalize the parts to repair my city water connection. I think as long as the new valve has a spring loaded check valve it should have the parts you need. One other tip I can pass on. I have put a very large note in my winterizing kit that reminds me to "ALWAYS turn off the water pump and open a faucet to relieve the pressure in the water lines BEFORE pressing the nipple in the water valve during winterization!!!!". For those who wonder why you press the city water valve when winterizing, it is to allow any water in that line to drain out and be replaced by pink RV antifreeze. It usually takes several cycles of turning on the water pump to pressurize that line, relieve the pressure and then push the nipple to allow water to escape out of the city water connection. I do this until I see pink antifreeze seeping out of the connectiion.Steve K

Is it behind the bottom drawer in the closet? I think it’s doable if I can take it apart from the inside.

Remove the three screws and remove the wooden panel. It is a tight fit but access to the fitting is doable. (that is if your '12 RB is the same as my '10RB) 1 Likes
