Are you using TPMS or an IR handheld thermometer? I suggest you use one of the latter (cheap at Harbor Freight) to verify any TPMS readings. TPMS sensors can have inaccurate calibration, and aftermarket ones are not inside the rim, so the actual temp can be influenced by your environment, e.g. direct sunlight.

It's known that the inner rear, passenger-side tire gets hotter than the other, due to its proximity to the exhaust.
Besides rotating the rear tires to spread the exposure, a set of heat shields can easily be made or shields, sold by Jegs, can be used to block the infrared heat produced by the exhaust pipe.

My TPMS shows temperature and pressure simultaneously.  I did swap sensors to see if the reading followed and it did not so I'm confident the inside rear tire temperature is elevated more than the others.  I think I'll give this thing a try and see what changes.  Thanks for all the feedback.
