Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #2 – August 25, 2019, 03:26:16 pm We currently own an 05 23" Minnie Winnie. I am completely sold on the 24 TK and am wondering if the lack of counter space around the bathroom sink has been an issue for anyone.

The biggest downside for me is that there is not a convenient place to put a WaterPik unit. Either one must make do with extra flossing, or use the kitchen sink.Virtual hugs,Judie

Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #5 – August 25, 2019, 04:40:54 pm Kit, don't worry too much about where you will put things. We have rearranged several cabinets/drawers about 3 times over about a year, as we find what we get into more often and what makes it easier to find things we use all the time. I am betting we will continue to do rearranging for a long time.Jane 2 Likes

After 16 years of "what goes where" re-thinking, re-arranging, re-organizing, and multiple purges (and jettisoning/replacing) of stuff from every cabinet, drawer, cupboard, and compartment, inside and out, in my TK, I think I'm about at 40% of the supplies, equipment, and whatnot still being in the locations I selected originally! Have fun, but be flexible! 2 Likes
Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #7 – August 25, 2019, 05:07:03 pm Yes, we found the TK didn't give enough room for items, despite having a large medicine cabinet and a wire shelf - both above the toilet that came with the RV when we bought it (used). We wanted things inside the shower and/or reachable above the sink.In our TK, we installed this clear shelf. We attached this with command strips (using a fair amount of the larger ones ) so we could move it around as we figured things out (and so the next owner had choices as we are only using this RV for a few years) - the strips hold it well. The shelf holds things like a hairbrush and other small items used daily. You could easily add two of these, they come in different widths. The shaving cream can, which is heavier, goes on the sink (it will only hold a couple tall skinny items). Heavy items are too much for the shelf unless it is screwed into the shower wall (using a sealant to prevent any water getting in around the screw). We added a shaving mirror - at the level nice for DH to use for shaving. The mirror holds one shaver. Note: The "anti fog" mirror does get foggy, but just spray some water on it and it works well enough.Right now the shelf is about 1' above the sink - below the shaving mirror. But I want to move it above the shaving mirror (close to top of the head level). It is clear so it would be easy to see what you are grabbing for and still in easy reaching distance. This would give more room for the items on the sink (a little tight with the shelf down low).We have two of these command hooks, placing them fairly close together to hold a shaver for the second person. They are off to the side of the mirror. On the right wall, above the sink, we put shower and soap dispenser. The 3 dispensers worked for us, but you can get it in 1 or 2 compartments also. This meant no big bottles in the shower. This is lower to the sink, and there is not quite enough room to put your hand under it without being conscious of the shaving cream on the sink (works, but it would be nicer a couple inches higher). Room is needed to get a hand underneath to catch the products while not bumping into anything on the sink at that area (we can do that in our current configuration but you have to pay attention to what you are doing) and still be short enough to easily pour items into the top of the dispenser compartments to fill it back up. Note: This could be put in a different location, for us, because we wanted the mirror centered we figured on the right wall was easier. Having it by the shower head/faucet handles is very nice - rinse, soap up, rinse - no need to turn around or reach to some odd spot for the soap/shampoo.All items got installed with command strips, so we could figure placement out as we used them. I suggest that, as I decided I want to move that shelf and we might also move the soap dispenser up a little once the shelf is moved up.Jane As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.
Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #8 – August 25, 2019, 07:35:43 pm One item I'll mention re: the dinette in the MB. We had a '94. When we ordered, we asked for cupboard doors (to match the kitchen cabinets) on the ends of the under seat cabinets. Made them so much more useful, rather than having to lift the cushions and wooden bases to access that space. When we ordered our '06 RB we did the same. I've looked at the photo but can't see if there is a cabinet door. In both LD the floors of the cabinets were carpeted. Maybe LD has incorporated the cabinet doors over the years. Several changes have happened through the years as a result of such requests. Best wishes,JuliW 2 Likes

Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #10 – September 08, 2019, 02:48:00 pm Is the dinette seat cabinet door still an unofficial option?
Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #11 – September 08, 2019, 08:57:02 pm This was a option on our '94 MB and our '06 RB. I find it much more convenient to deal with floor level cupboards from the inside of coach. Lifting cushions (and the boards underneath) is do-able but a pain, IMHO. I use large plastic bins as *drawers* with storage further back on our rear dinette seat. Stuff stored in the back is extra storage paper towels, plates, etc. Lightweight, bulky, not needed every day. Check with Steve. These cupboard doors may have made their way to *ask, but not on our list* status. JuliW 1 Likes
Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #12 – September 09, 2019, 01:48:13 pm We needed a place to keep toothbrushes, soap, etc. in the bathroom, so we bought a wire basket / holder that attaches to the bathroom/shower wall with suction cups. It's simple to install and can stick to any smooth surface. It's held fast for over a year now. We're probably going to add more - since you can put them anywhere on the shower wall. The company, Gecko, makes a soap tray and towel hook and other sizes of holders all with suction cups. Here's the one we bought so far Amazon.com: Gecko-Loc Deep Shower Shelf Caddy Storage Basket Shampoo...Hope this gives you more ideas,Jim & DebSanta Cruz, California 2 Likes As an Amazon Associate Lazy Daze Owners' Group earns from qualifying purchases.

Re: Mid-Bath Kitchen/Galley Area Storage Reply #15 – September 14, 2019, 05:35:57 pm Just another thought on storage. I have the under seat storage and am amazed at how much room there is, like a big box. I don't find it difficult to remove/replace the cushions as I put dog food(brand not available everywhere)paper towels/ plates/and toilet paper. With all that there is still room for water jugs and hiking shoes. If I was using only the end as a door I would not be able to fill or access without bending. But, I have not had the other option so just a thought on the advantages I see with the whole lid coming off.
