"The datacenter where we have our server node is going to be updated to implement an update that Intel recently published.  It addresses a new vulnerability impacting all Xeon server CPUs (Side Channel L! Terminal fault or L1TF).

To implement the updates a new processor firmware needs to be installed and then the system rebooted.  They have not given a specific time or date, only that the datacenter will begin the updates on Thursday from 7-12 and then each day after that until all of the servers are updated.  That’s a lot of servers so which date is ??? but when it happens the site will be down until I restart the software (after the server itself comes up)."
