Gurgling sound from fridge cooling unit can't be good August 18, 2018, 09:03:26 pm I am thoroughly bummed.I replaced the cooling unit with a new/rebuilt from Pines RV I purchased through a retailer.Got it all hooked up. Turned on with AC power and immediately a gurgling sound started. I followed all instructions. Thermal mastic and all but the freezer coil isn't getting cold yet after over an hour.As I await a response from the retailer about what is going on I now have my old cooling unit and this one...UGH!This is a pretty big job. I spent a couple of days on it.I'll update when I find out something but a quick Google search on gurgling cooling units has me bummed. Thanks for listening to my anguish.

Not sure if would help but I would consider lightly tapping on all the accessible tubing with a long, narrow stick, in case there is a air bubble or minor blockage. Can' hurt.Larry 1 Likes

My old unit would even in this warm weather.I'll try the stick approach.Every "gurgling" post I've read indicates a bad unit but I'll hold out hope.UPDATERan it over 4 hours. Tapped on the pipes a bit. Not cooling. Awaiting word from the supplier.

I'd like to leave it on the floor and test it with an extension cord if possible.
