Removing Console Table in 2003 RB
Need help in how to remove console table on passenger side in rear bath 2003 27ft LD.

We'd also like to take a second to welcome you to this LDO Neighborhood.   We have a Mid-Bath and as such, we don't have a "console table."  If you get a chance, you might post a  picture of the console table in question just in case it's not OEM equipment.

Hi, It is factory installed console  two chairs on passenger side; Chairs had seat belts. I am Joan Tucker owner of Second Chance, 2003 27ft rear bath. Need to remove this console table. Help.

Joan, it's my sense that the console will be very hard to remove. Often, if not usually, LD screws interior cabinets and furniture pieces to the interior walls from the outside. And of course access to the screw heads are then covered by insulation and siding. The surest way to find out is to call the factory, explain your desire to remove the console and ask someone how it was installed. And if you do contact the factory, please let us know what your contact said.

If the console must come out, it will come out in pieces.
LD build things to stay together and not to come apart. It is screwed, glued and stapled together.
It will need to be gently torn apart so not to damage the surrounding walls, do not expect to end up with something that can be replaced, the pieces will most likely will suitable for the trash.
You will end up with some nasty holes and damage in the walls where the screws come through the wall.

Joan, welcome!
I removed this cabinet from the rear of my Mid Bath.  I can only add that indeed this is a job to approach cautiously.  I made the mistake of prying too vigorously trying to get the cabinet away from the wall, and put some more holes in the wall had to patch. 

The big challenge is that that cabinet is screwed in from the outside through the frame, before the exterior skin is put on.  It is then glued to the wall. I think it is designed to serve as further reinforcement for the big box that is the coach

My solution was to first carefully deconstruct the cabinet, then use an oscillating saw like these Oscillating Tools - Power Multi Tools - The Home Depot to cut through the sizeable screws.  I don't recall how many there were.

When you see how interior components are installed/secured, you understand why there are few rattles in Lazy Dazes.

Paul, do you think you could have removed the cabinet with out deconstructing it first?

Chris, it would be possible, now that I know how it is attached.  My removal didn't destroy the cabinet, but it was the worse for wear! I think the wall would take more abuse if so.
