Re: Contractor Change for Reserve America Reply #2 – August 09, 2018, 04:24:35 pm Now if ReserveCaliformia would get on board, their site is even more difficult to use.Amazing that after so many years, none of these sites have improved at all.Giving the entrance stations access to the system would be a huge improvement.Larry

Re: Contractor Change for Reserve America Reply #4 – August 09, 2018, 09:06:49 pm I don't really understand how this will improve things. The core problem is that for a few days (weekends and holidays, mostly) there are way more people who want campsites than there are campsites available. I would love to be able to reserve a week at John Pennekamp Park in the Fl keys around Christmas, for example. So would 10,000 other people so the sites are all booked. No amount of reservation tinkering will change that imbalance. Something like demand based pricing could change things, but so many people would complain. As long as the RVIA continues to crank out RV's, and the economy keeps humming along, I don't see the problem going away. It will just change to a different set of rules that people will then learn to work with to snag their sites. There is room for improvement, for sure, with real time updates and access to current site reservation information, but none of that fixes the real problem. Rich'03 in MB 2 Likes

Re: Contractor Change for Reserve America Reply #6 – August 09, 2018, 09:50:10 pm I don't think it will improve things immediately. It may well open the door to innovation and improvement. Not likely to help Ca St. Parks. That's done in house. If we complain enough, they might switch agencies - probably to the DMV. Be careful of what you ask for joel
