New to LD Family May 20, 2018, 11:06:45 pm Here we are. Newbies to the world of fun. We just purchased a 2014 27 ft MB. Wow! It is so nice. I had never stepped foot in an LD until the day I bought it. We live in Phx. Saw it in RV Trader at 530 am Tuesday, sent an email, seller responded and drove to CA on Wed and bought on Thursday. It is spotless!! We are so impressed with so many things. I had never driven an RV before Wed, the 17th. Learning fast....especially driving on the southern California freeways. I will need lots of advice as things move forward and looking forward to someday meeting you folks.Thomas and Debbie HabgoodYeeeHaw! 6 Likes

You have joined an amazing community where there is great knowledge & experience, wonderful generosity in sharing that knowledge & experience with those of us at the other end of that spectrum, & warm-quirky-dry-creative humor to spice discussions of life, adventures, & coffee (even for those of us who aren't coffee aficionados).Lynne 2 Likes
Re: New to LD Family Reply #2 – May 21, 2018, 09:20:29 am Welcome to the cult of LD. A few rules to keep in mind ......1. never never bring up what kind of coffee or coffee maker you use in any way or shape.2. nobody's opinion, as in IMHO, no matter how many times they say it is ever humble.3. And must important - get out there and enjoy. You can replace the money but never time. Hope to see ya on the road sometime......glen 5 Likes

Re: New to LD Family Reply #7 – May 21, 2018, 09:56:23 pm Congratulations and welcome to the club. We are sure you will have as much fun as we are having in the years to come. We love traveling in her and talking to all the people (especially out East) who are amazed to see one and are excited to talk about it. Last night in Boone, NC, I spoke with a young couple who asked me how long it took me to "repaint" her. When I told them it was a brand new, 2017 and we've put 11,000 miles on her since we bought her last June they excitedly wanted all the details. When we finished our conversation, he said he was going to look it up on the internet immediately. This afternoon, as we were setting up in Staunton, VA, a lady came by walking her dog and wanted to tell us how beautiful it was. She and her husband saw us coming in and had to ask about it. How old was it? Again, the surprise that such a beautiful, retro-looking RV was only a year old, led to more conversation. Classics never go out of style.David and Marie 4 Likes

Re: New to LD Family Reply #9 – June 19, 2018, 09:56:20 pm Congratulations! What have you learned about your rig that might help any new owners?Kent reminded me to have 6 months of camping reservations made before we take delivery, we had that one thing done. Got to start ordering all the small stuff soon, water filters, adapters etc
Re: New to LD Family Reply #10 – June 20, 2018, 10:04:08 am Yes -- all that has been said is true. One thing I will add is that it is fun to also try and spot other LDs when on the road. Not counting places like Quartzite or planned LD rallies, spotting one "in the wild" is a relatively rare occurrence. If we owners see so few of them, I can only think that they are particularly uncommon to other RVers and the public as a whole. All part of the mystique, I suppose. 1 Likes
